A blog (and a book in progress) about dancefloors

Written by a former journalist for Bloomberg News under the pseudonym “Sexy Disco Balls,” Magical Dance Floors is about dancefloors that have the power to change your life. The author will drop the pseudonym when the publication hits 2,000 paying subscribers and he can bid adieu to his normie disguise and corporate day job.

Magical Dancefloors describes dancefloors that enchant us. These are places where relationships blossom, barriers break, healing happens, dancers come to know (or forget) themselves or their pasts, and that inspire us to imagine new futures and dream new dreams.

Paid subscribers will receive my eternal gratitude AND a digital or physical copy of the book Magical Dancefloors (Vol. 1) upon release.

A magical dancefloor — hands reach for the sun as a special edit of the Beatles “Here Comes the Sun” is played at the end of a 6-hour set by James Murphy, and brothers David and Stephen Dewaele.
